The Village at the Triangle: Winner of the CCRC – Life Plan Community Award

Congratulations to The Village at the Triangle, the winner of the CCRC- Life Plan Community Award.

New development and rehabilitation of senior living projects continues in earnest as evidenced by the entries for the 2018 Senior Housing News (SHN) Architecture & Design Awards. With more than 90 communities participating, SHN is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s awards.

Senior living communities nationwide submitted their communities for consideration in the sixth annual SHN Awards, a contest that recognizes excellence by celebrating projects that improve the lives of seniors through innovative design.

“This year’s group of entries has been the strongest it has ever been and it is exciting to look to the future of senior housing through the lens of the awards program,” said SHN Publisher and Founder George Yedinak. “Many of the current and future trends in architecture and design for  senior living are evident in this year’s entries.”

From the more than 90 organizations that entered their communities in this year’s competition, only nine projects were selected as 2018 SHN Architecture & Design Awards Winners for their unique approaches to senior living design. The competition evaluates communities through a scoring system that looks at various categories including design elements specific to each project type, community integration, amenities and lifestyle features.

The 2018 competition was sponsored exclusively by Kwalu, a provider of senior living furniture solutions to communities across the United States.
